A pool is the quietest room of the house.

Galati was founded on a single conviction — that private aquatic architecture in the American Midwest deserves the attention of a European atelier. Slow drawing. Patient construction. Material honesty. A small roster.

The practice has completed fewer than one hundred commissions in two decades. This is by design. We take on only the work we can supervise personally, from first sketch to final filling.
